New European market leader in overpressure filter systems:
BMAir merges with Amberg Umwelt-Technik

Nettetal, 22 September 2022 – BMAir, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of pressurised filter systems, has acquired 100 percent of the shares of Amberg Umwelt-Technik GmbH, the German market leader in the construction machinery industry. The merger creates a new European market leader in the field of filter pressurisation systems for construction machinery.

BMAir has been the leading manufacturer of pressurised filter systems for construction machinery in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and the United Kingdom for more than 25 years. The BMAir product range is used by thousands of companies. The company follows an ambitious growth and internationalisation strategy, in which the German market plays a key role. The merger with Amberg creates the new number one in the industry in Europe. The two companies stand for a high level of service, high quality and reliability at a fair price. As a result of the merger, BMAir’s products will now also be available throughout Germany via the Amberg network, including installation and service.

Following the acquisition by BMAir, Amberg will continue its operational activities under its own name from its Nettetal facility. On an organisational level, Robin Veltman, Managing Partner at BMAir for 20 years, will be appointed Managing Director of the combined company alongside Thomas Cronen. Thomas Cronen successfully led Amberg Umwelt-Technik GmbH for many years as general manager and developed Amberg into the German market leader. Together with Robin Veltman, he will now contribute to the expansion of both companies.

The market for pressurised filter systems is developing dynamically, stimulated by the gradual change of laws and regulations as a result of new knowledge about exposure to hazardous substances. It requires constant innovation to make this knowledge available to users and to keep companies compliant. With these products, companies today can comply with the legislation of tomorrow, with a high service level. The demand for high-quality pressurised filter systems is increasing as operators and drivers become more aware of the dangers of contaminated air and companies take responsibility for the health of their employees.
Robin Veltman of BMAir said about the Amberg acquisition. “BMAir and Amberg have found each other because we share the values of quality, service, professionalism and reliability. For both companies, the safety of operators and drivers is paramount, so we are convinced that together we can offer the best products for all of Germany.”

Thomas Cronen of Amberg agreed. “The merger between BMAir and Amberg is very positive news for all employees, customers and partners,” he said. “Our common goal is sustainable success and further growth. The prospects for both companies are very good and we are convinced that we have made the best possible decision for a successful future. Our customers will benefit from the combined know-how and a broader offering that can be tailored even better to their current and future needs.”

The product range and the latest solutions from BMAir and Amberg will be presented this year at the world’s leading trade fair for the construction machinery industry, the Bauma in Munich from 24 to 30 October.
