How to

Register a BMair Connect

Step-by-step manual

Follow the steps below to successfully register a controller as an official BMair service partner. If you are not an official BMair service partner, please contact BMair for assistance with registration.

Make sure to register the system only after installation. An automatic pressure test will be performed, so the system must be fully installed and operational.

To register a BMair Connect, you’ll need the BMair app. Access to the app is exclusively available to authorized service partners to ensure secure and professional installation.

Simply download the app by selecting one of the App stores.

Log in using the credentials provided to you. This is a personal account linked to the company you work for. This ensures that future inspection reports are issued in your company’s name and logo.

Don’t have login credentials yet? Please contact your local BMair branch — they’ll be happy to assist you.

The first step in the registration process is entering the machine details. Please fill in this information as accurately as possible — it helps end users easily locate the machine in the online portal later on.

If the machine brand and model are not yet available in the system, you’ll be prompted to describe the type of machine (e.g. 'tracked excavator'). The machine type will then be created automatically.

Enter the end user’s details here, including name and location. This information won’t be immediately visible in the app — it will first be verified by the system. Once verified, the machine will be registered under the customer’s name.

It’s important to provide this information as accurately as possible to ensure the machine is directly linked to the correct end user. As a dealer, you’ll also be able to view the machine later on.

If this is a new user, please also enter their contact details. These will later be used to send an email invitation to create an account.

Now it’s time to establish a connection with the controller. Make sure both the controller and the machine are powered on. The app will connect to the controller via Bluetooth, so ensure Bluetooth is also enabled.

First, select the language you want to use for the controller. Then choose the applicable standard for your region. The available standard options will depend on your current location.

Last, Select the correct controller — you can recognize it by its serial number if multiple options are shown. Tap the correct BMair Connect device to initiate the connection. The controller will automatically transmit all detected components, such as the system and filters.

The registration is complete!

The app will now send the entered information to the controller via Bluetooth and to the online portal via the internet. Once this is done, a checkmark will appear on the screen. Do not close the app or the controller until the checkmark is visible.

In step 5, you selected a standard. You are now asked to review all requirements associated with that standard. If the installation meets a requirement, you can check it off. This information will appear later on the test certificate, which will be accessible to the end user.

The certificate is issued under your company’s name, so please ensure the checklist is completed truthfully and accurately

You will be asked to upload photos of the complete installation. These will also be accessible to you later in the portal.

This also enables BMair to create better installation manuals, which will later be available in the app. This allows every installation partner to access the manual, ensuring we don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time.

Answer:
During registration, an internet connection is not required. However, it is important that you log in first before entering an area with no connection.

Explanation:
Once logged in, you can register a machine without an internet connection. The data will be stored in the app and sent to the portal when you are back online. You can find the data under the 'pending registrations' section. If it doesn’t send automatically, you can also manually send the information.

The data will be sent directly to the controller via the Bluetooth connection, rather than through data.

Answer:
No, that is not possible.

Expanation:
We place great value on ensuring that a controller is easily traceable for the end user. Therefore, registration is required. To guarantee that the installation quality meets a minimum standard, we carry out the registration during installation. This ensures that every end user receives a high-quality setup.

Answer:
These will be available shortly in both the app and the online portal.

Expanation:
We are currently working hard to compile packages and manuals. To ensure a minimum level of quality, this is taking a bit more time. In the meantime, if you need additional information, please send a request (including the machine type) to service@bmair.com.
